Do you like what you see in the mirror?
For many of us, the answer to that question is an intensely personal one.
And it’s all too tempting, if we’re less than satisfied with the answer, to focus on external changes in order to like ourselves more.
So we cut calories, buy clothes that hide our problem areas, or spend money on products or services that we hope will change our relationship with that person in the mirror.
But that pattern has it all backwards.
We have to start with loving ourselves, just as we are, before we can ever hope to consistently demonstrate that confidence through our physical appearance.
In this week’s episode of The Wellthy Boss Show, I interview fashion expert Crystal Coons of Sometimes Glam on this very topic.
- How to treat your body as “the CHANEL bag that it is”
- How Crystal takes care of herself so she can take care of others
- Why we need to buck society’s expectations of our physical appearance
- How to turn self-care into a regular practice
- Why Crystal uses gratitude journaling to stay focused on what matters
- How being mission-minded helps us find the courage to share authentically and confidently
- The forms of fitness that make Crystal feel like a diva
