SI Joint Pain or an SI Joint Dysfunction diagnosis are a drag. Especially if you’re used to being active, the lower back pain in SI joint we experience can slow us down prematurely and inhibit our range of motion.
I find these restorative yoga for SI Joint poses to be especially helpful for releasing tightness from my SI Joint Dysfunction. Focusing on lengthening the spaces between the vertebrae and relaxing the musculature around the spine, this is a great practice to include for lower back pain reduction.
Of course, all back care and treatment is different for everyone so please make sure you are following your doctor’s advice regarding specific movement patterns.
